Varvel has renewed its support for the 2016 – 2017 edition of the Master in Racing Motorcycle Engineering organized by the Higher Education body Professional Datagest with a study grant for the most deserving student
Varvel SpA, a well-established Bolognese company operating in the field of mechanical variators and speed reducers production, which has always taken an active interest in the training and insertion of the younger generation in the world of work, is supporting the fifth edition of the Master in Racing Motorcycle Engineering, organized by the Higher Education body Professional Datagest, allocating a study grant to the most deserving student.
The master, which will begin in Bologna in October, is designed for graduates and undergraduates in mechanical, electronic and aerospace engineering, with the aim of providing specialized technical competence for the design and construction of racing motorbikes.
All the students on the master will have the opportunity to combine their passion for motors with a real employment opportunity, thanks to the 300 hours in the classroom, with teachers from important companies in the “Motor Valley” such as Ducati, Magneti Marelli and Lamborghini, as well as interships at the end of their course in prestigious companies connected with the motor cycling world.
By providing this opportunity, Varvel once again confirms its special commitment to the training of young people. This partnership started back 2012, when the Crespellano (BO) based company, specialized in power transmission systems decided to allocate two study grants to two youths from Emilia who were racing cycle enthusiasts and who were from the area which was struck by the earthquake. After that, the collaboration continued singling out an outstanding student, for each edition, in terms of skills, commitment and constancy.
“It is right to reward those who commit themselves and carry out their objectives with dedication so a sto allow them to put the into practice in the future, transforming a passion into a job” states Francesco Berselli, President of Varvel SpA. – “This is just one of a number of initiatives that we support with the aim of helping young people who are willing to approach the world of work”.
In fact, the company has been organizing a series of activities for several years, ranging from guided visits to its own production facility to internships and collaboration with training bodies, including the Aldini Valeriani Foundation, as well as the creation of specialization courses, to the extent that, since 2009, it has been awarded the “Ok Intern Badge” which the “Republic of Interns” assigns to companies which operate respecting the “Charter of Interns’ Rights”.
